This easy brown sugar fudge, also known as penuche or sucre a la creme, is an authentic family recipe that delivers a rich, creamy, and caramel-like flavor. It's perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth!
Ingredients:
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups confectioners' sugar
Instructions:
Over medium heat, mix brown sugar, milk, and butter in a saucepan
When the mixture starts to boil, turn down the heat to low and keep stirring it
Simmer for two minutes while stirring all the time
Now take it off the heat and mix in the vanilla extract
Slowly add the confectioners' sugar and mix it in until it's smooth
Put the fudge mix into an 8x8-inch pan that has been greased
It will take about two hours of cooling at room temperature for it to set
